These fortifications were built to defend Britain during the invasion crisis of 1940-1941. The Picket Hamilton Fort had the unique feature of being able to raise and lower, allowing them to disappear into the ground when not in use and rise up to fire. They were primarily used to defend airfields, where they would not provide an obstruction to aircraft, though be able to block runways and open spaces, denying them to the enemy should they try and land. These small pillboxes were designed to be manned by a small team, often with a Bren gun which they could fire out of any of the three openings.
Includes two STL files representing the fortification in its raised and lowered position. Suitable for use in Second World War games, though would not look out of place in any interwar alternate history settings.
28mm (Though could be scaled to 15 or 10mm size)
Designed for FDM printers.
