Triebflugel with 109-501 RATO easy print

$5.00

Easy to print triebflugel. Some details have been changed for looks/ printability.

Goofy ramjet VTOL concept. A modification of which was used in the Captain America movie by Redskull.

There is a version where the wing-ring spins (pictured), it’s a pain to put together and the wings need to be set loosely to not drag on the paint or the small dorsal ridge. But hey, it’s fun to have spinny parts.

For those of you that prefer reality: The 109-501 RATO was actually used and can be added to a variety of German aircraft that used rocket assisted takeoff in WW2. The rockets were then jettisoned and parachuted back to earth. While not depicted in the photograph, the chute pack is an option on the rocket pods

The boarding ladder is height-wise bespoke for this plane, but should be useful for other modeling projects as well.

Image is of model printed in 1/52 with 3dbreed figure for scale.

The standard files are designed to print AS-IS on filament, no additional supports required.

The “resin” files are for those of you that are printing with resin printers and would prefer the assembled models. Resin files are not pre-supported unless otherwise noted.

Please remember that unless otherwise noted these models are uploaded at 1/100, and you need to scale it to match your preferred play-scale.
1/72= 139% (“standard” 20mm)
1/64= 156%
1/56 = 179% (“standard” 28mm)
1/52 = 192% (my preferred scale for 28mm heroic)
1/48 = 208%
