This trader hull can be printed out as either a single piece or as two pieces if you have a smaller build plate. For best results on a FDM printer, print two half hulls vertically since it saves the need for supports that affect the bottom of the hull. The crew can be printed out as shown here using a FDM printer, but for best results use a resin printer. Scaling down to 1:100 or 1:144 scales should be OK using 0.4mm nozzle/0.15mm layers, below that please use a finer (0.25mm) nozzle.

Viking trading ships were used for trading and for re-supplying armies during the 8th through the 12th centuries. This generic small trader is 19cm long in 1:72 scale (13-14m in real life) and comes with a crew of four, some blocks for the rigging, a rudder, a anchor, separate oars and seats for the oarsmen, plus more bags of turnips and barrels of ale than you can put on a single ship. Make your own sail out of paper, or print out one of the sail .pdf’s included here. A display stand with a choice of two inscriptions is also included.
