Platz Zeilvliegtuig glider easy print

$3.00

1922 canard controlled glider. After the last glider I went way down the rabbit hole of german inter-war glider clubs…

Would make a cool bit of scatter for a German air field. And a great bit for those of you doing scifi/ alt history stuff.

Also included are all the bits to do an actual flying glider (wing skeleton and wing stencil files). The main wings have compound curves so flat paper won’t quite fit the wing shape correctly, you can see the kink about 2/3 of the way toward the wingtips on my big model. I scaled my flyer up to 1/20 scale (500%), ended up being 11g and I added a 6g nut to get the weight correct for the scale. Less additional weight would have a flatter glide path, but would take more balancing. Hope you have fun with it!

Image is of model printed in 1/52 with 3dbreed figure for scale.

The standard files are designed to print AS-IS on filament, no additional supports required.

The “resin” files are for those of you that are printing with resin printers and would prefer the assembled models. Resin files are not pre-supported unless otherwise noted.

Please remember that unless otherwise noted these models are uploaded at 1/100, and you need to scale it to match your preferred play-scale.
1/72= 139% (“standard” 20mm)
1/64= 156%
1/56 = 179% (“standard” 28mm)
1/52 = 192% (my preferred scale for 28mm heroic)
1/48 = 208%
