I was asked by the friend in our local gaming group to do up a !/56th scale M29 Weasel. The M29 Weasel was a lightly armoured amphibious tracked carrier developed by the Americans in WW2. It saw action in that conflict and continued in service for several decades, seeing action in both the Korean War as well as other conflicts.
I started with Bergman’s 1/200th scale file for this vehicle. As I upsized it significantly, the detail on the file was not to scale. I created a new interior – new seats, new windshield, tools on the rear deck, etc. I made the tracks into separate files to enable a clear print.
This is a small model; the M 29 was a small vehicle, so don’t be surprised of the size. Historical pic will show how compact it was.
The pics show my final test prints. They have not been painted as they are going to someone else. The result was quite good, if i don’t say so myself. I printed at fine layering (0.1 mm) with supports.
