HMS Cumberland as she appeared in 1939 during the battle of the River Plate (if she had arrived in time).
I am adding the rest of my models to this site (see www.magpiedesigner.com for details). If you are interested in a particular model please let me know and I’ll move it up the queue.
Zip
The zip files contain :
- Cumberland base 39 raft: On a textured sea base, on a raft to protect base
- Cumberland base 39: On a textured sea base, flat on printbed with and without protective fanges
- Cumberland waterline 39: Flat on printbed with and without flanges and on a raft
It can be rescaled to 1:2400 but care would be needed when removing it.
The model has been run thru 3D builder and successfully printed.
Printing
Designed to be printed with a Layer Thicknress of .03 mm, no supports required. I have added some very thin (0.3mm diameter) supports under the main gun barrels and Walrus wings. These are easy to remove with a scaple.
A textured sea base with the ships name at the stern on a raised ‘plaque’. The name can be easily scraped off if you prefer to add your own. If you would prefer a version with no plaque please contact me and I will add one (and make the base a bit shorter). The base is approx 3mm thick.
