Hr.Ms. De Ruyter Light Cruiser

Hr.Ms. De Ruyter was a Netherlands Navy light Cruiser and the Flagship of Rear-Admiral Karel Doorman during the Battle of the Java Sea February 1942.
During the Battle De Rutyer was hit by a single long lance torpedo fired from the IJN Heavy Cruiser Haguro, which caused a fire and knock-out the electric systems. This made it impossible for the crew to stop the flooding and fires. De Ruyter sank during the night, with the loss of 367 men, including Rear-Admiral Karel Doorman.

The model is provided in 1/1000 scale and is Resin print only.
1/1800 – resize to 55,56%
1/1200 – resize to 83,5%
There are a few different bases provided. And each base comes in 2 versions. Text recessed and the raised. I used the recessed version for FDM printed bases. Finally a base without text is also included. Do not forget to also re-scale the bases if you print in 1/1200 or 1/1800 scale.
Also included a 1/1800 scale pre-supported model which I used for the test-prints on my Anycubic Mono SE (0.05mm layer) using standard resin. Use at your own risk, might be best you create your own supported files, which prints best on you own printer. Some parts are rather delicate, mainly the gun barrels, and you will need to remove support carefully.
The base was printed on an Ender 5 pro (0.16 mm layer) standard PLA.

Starting 2023 WW2 ships in 1/1000 up to 1/1800 will be added. This will be focussed on the Pacific War / Dutch East Indies. Resin print only, highly detailed and as historical correct as possible. I might tweak a bit to make sure parts will print and are strong enough for the gaming table. This will include a full range of ships of the Royal Netherlands Navy.
And slowly adding other models which are not found anywhere else.
