The Cougar was developed during the 1970s as part of a family of the AVGP wheeled armoured vehicles for the Canadian Army. It was initially designed to serve as a tank trainer for armoured regiments that were not equipped with the Leopard C1. However, operational realities of the 1990s would see it deployed on active missions. 256 Cougars were built, with a three-man crew and using the capable Scorpion turret.
The model is a well detailed design, provided in two versions, one for resin printing, which is integrated with its wheels. Variants in both hollow and solid versions are provided to suit personal preferences. A second solid hull is provided without wheels for printing on fdm systems, with the wheels provided as a separate file. In both cases the turret is provided as a separate solid item.
Files updated to correct an error on the rear axles in the fdm version; corrected design posted.
