Praga T-6 Tractor 28mm stl pack

The use of tow vehicles – whose use is moving artillery and the gun’s crew (as opposed to “transports”) in Bolt Action gaming can result in a bit of a dichotomy. On one hand, the recent FAQs relieved players of the requirement to purchase of a tow vehicle, as it allows all guns, regardless of their size, to be “run” onto the table 6” without a tow. On the other hand, this run is ONLY 6” and that can result in the gun being in a less than ideal location. As well, a gun cannot be “run” into rough ground. By purchasing a tow vehicle, you not only gain an extra order die (at minimal cost – 12 points for an inexperienced tractor), but you can also move the gun farther forward and have better options to place it in an advantageous position. If you play any Tank War games, the requirement for a gun tractor is self evident.
Double that up with the increasingly popular Juggernaut army build format, which prohibits horse/mule tows; the points spent on a motorized tow vehicle are well spent.
With that in mind, I sought an appropriate tow vehicle for my Romanian army. I found the Praga T-6, a pre-war fully tracked vehicle manufactured by the Czech Praga automotive firm. The T-6 and the larger T-9 tractors had commercial success prior to the German occupation of Czechoslovakia. The T-6 tractor was supplied in large numbers to Romania and was used extensively by the Wehrmacht, as well as the Slovak army. It was also sold aboard, it saw service with Peru in their 1941 war with Ecuador, and with the Turkish and Portuguese armies.
This .stl pack provides files for both resin and FDM printing. The resin .stls include the basic .stls and pre-supported .stls. The FDM files feature a split of the hull to ensure solid build plate contact, with an assembly block to allow proper assembly post print alignment. The front “brush guard” in both the resin and FDM version is a sperate piece, to allow the radiator to be painted before attaching the brush guard. The FDM brush guard is thicker, to ensure it prints well in filament. Both models include a removable tarp cover for the cargo box.
