HMS Exeter as she appeared in 1939 during the battle of the River Plate.
I am adding the rest of my models to this site (see www.magpiedesigner.com for details). If you are interested in a particular model please let me know and I’ll move it up the queue.
Zip
The zip file has two version one with (base) and one without a base (Waterline). It can be rescales to 1:2400 but care would be needed when removing it.
The model has been run thru 3D builder and successfully printed.
Printing
Designed to be printed with a Layer Thicknress of .03 mm, no supports required. Print flat on the print bed. To help remove it I use the flat metal scraper that came with the printer and dribble ipa around the base.
Waterline
The model has ‘flanges’ at the bow and stern to allow it to be more easily removed.
Base
A textured sea base with the ships name at the stern on a raised ‘plaque’. The name can be easily scraped off if you prefer to add your own. If you would prefer a version with no plaque please contact me and I will add one (and make the base a bit shorter). The base is approx 3mm thick and has ‘flanges’ at each end to protect the print which need to be cut off.
