I dusted these goodies off thinking I could use them for Cruel Seas. I designed them before that game release. The original plan when I designed these was to collect 1:700 scale waterlines. As you know, no plan survives first contact…
Lasercut patterns in PDF, AI and SVG formats to mass produce four variations of popular WW2 U.S. (2x C1, Victory and Liberty) cargo ships at 1:700 scale. These patterns use a combination of 6mm (1/4in), 3mm (1/8in) MDF and 1.5 to 2mm artistic card stock. Various diameters of wood dowel and square or round styrene plastic rod are also recommended (sizes and cuts indicated on the prints), or you could readily 3D print simple substitutes if you want to mod them yourself. All parts are labelled and should be readily useful for final assembly. Leave them laid out as printed or you will be puzzle building… Templates are sized for Arch A (9 x 12 inch). There is a decent safety margin around these templates so that your laser doesn’t run off and try to bang around the edges. With the right apps (Inkscape, Illustrator, etc.), you can likely extract individual cuts to reconfigure or resize on a different sheet size.
