This listing focuses on the ground mounted Russian 37mm AA gun supported by two seated crew. You will receive files sufficient to print the guns in a number of ways:
- Deployed on the ground, Seated Crew, the gun with a magazine loaded. Printable in Resin.
- As above but no magazine loaded. Printable in Resin.
- Concerned about warping in the resin parts I have broken the gun carriage and gun down into small parts in the hope that this will let you over come warping as the resin cures. These files will tend to be described as Alt /alternative. You can also print the gun carriage in PLA thus avoiding warping issues.
- I am aware that a lot of people use panel pin as replacement barrels. A 40mm long 1.6mm diam panel pin can be glued into one of the main gun variants.
The model is relatively complicated and I have included some screen shots showing how the components are intended to be glued into place. Substitute the seated gunners in place of the seats.
I have successfully printed all the parts for this model several times in resin and PLA, except that is for the crew which have only ever been done in resin. I have had success with printing drivers within vehicles using a PLA printer set at 0.1mm or 0.06mm layer height, but I have not tried the seated crew for this gun on a plastic printer.
Whilst I have done a number of test prints and revised a lot of the components in light of the printing experience and re-tested them; please do let me know of any issues that occur in your own printing. Hopefully from your information I will be able to produce a revised file which improves the printing experience.
- If you want standing crew for this gun then I suggest you check out Just Some Miniatures on this website and locate his Russian Artillery Crew. I have included a loaded magazine of shells which you could add to some of his gunners with open hands.
