This is a pair of Russian style houses for laser cutting.
Both houses have removable roofs.
The models are designed to be cut from 2mm MDF. I find this a better less chunky material than 3mm or 1/8″ and cuts easier on lower power machines. This is the stuff typically used in picture framing and commonly available on EBay etc. I planned the models around A3 sheets but the parts are easy enough to rearrange if you use different sized sheets. I have colour coded cutting, engraving and raster embossing.
The roof tiles are cut from heavy paper. I use 120 GSM but anything from 100GSM to 150GSM should be fine.
These models were designed to scale well with models from companies such as Sarrisa.
The chimney is made by gluing together a stack of pieces, I found this gave a better result than forming a box.
Excuse my poor painting they are displayed with a simple paint and wash.
