OT-64 SKOT command and comms vehicles (VSOT)

The VSOT-64 and its variants were the command and signals versions of the OT-64 SKOT.  Two variants are provided in detailed 1:100 designs suitable for resin and fdm printing, permitting two levels of senior command to be simulated.

 

The OT-64 was an improved product competing with the Soviet BTR-60, using a diesel engine in place of two petrol engines.  This approach diminished the danger of fire and at the same time increased the range. The main advantage in relation to the Russian counterpart was the armour protection for the crew (though the BTR-60PB also provided this). The entrance is at the rear of the vehicle via twin doors, again a significant advantage over the arrangements on the BTR-60. The VSOT-64 had an NBC protection facility, night-vision equipment and comprehensive communications and command facilities.

Two variants of this C2 vehicle are provided, in versions suitable for resin or fdm printing.  the latter have separate hull and wheels to ease printing.  This is a relatively simple design that should print well, though the underside is quite detailed.

The product is offered for personal, non-commercial use.  Derivative designs for personal use may be generated, but neither the original nor derivatives may be shared with others.  Attribution of the design is requested should printed models be exhibited or otherwise shared.  Models printed from this design or derivatives may not be sold commercially.
