M-24 Chaffee light tank

This is a 1:100 design of this late WW2 / Korean war / early Cold War US light tank, with versions for fdm or resin printers.  It is well detailed and suitable for printing at larger scales if so desired.  The tank was well regarded and used by many nations in addition to the USA.

The M24 Chaffee was the replacement for the M3/M5 Stuarts that were used earlier in WW2.  It was a significant advance in light tank design, with modern torsion bar suspensions, completely revised welded steel armour, improved protection and a much more potent lightweight 75 mm main gun. It was deployed in time for the Battle of the Bulge, (winter 1944), and was so successful  that that it was largely exported after the war and stayed in service with many armies until the 1980s and beyond, covering most of the Cold War.

The design is offered as an integrated hull/suspension in solid and hollow forms, as both have been requested in the past.  A version with a separate hull and tracks for fdm printing is also offered.  A separate 50 cal MG (strengthened) is part of the package.  The turret is common, as it is relatively small, so a hollow variant is not offered (but can be made available if required for use at larger scales).

The design should not offer any significant printing challenges, as the tracks are slightly over-scale for robustness.

The product is offered for personal, non-commercial use.  Derivative designs for personal use may be generated, but neither the original nor derivatives may be shared with others.  Attribution of the design is requested should printed models be exhibited or otherwise shared.  Models printed from this design or derivatives may not be sold commercially.
