VT-55 Russian ARV
1:100 model of the standard Russian ARV on the T-54/55 chassis. This ARV was widely used in the Warsaw Pact, and also exported to client states. Versions for printing in resin and fdm are provided.
VT-55A rescue tank is a special armoured tracked vehicle built on the chassis of the T-55A tank. It is designed especially for towing crashed or damaged equipment in various terrain conditions, for rescuing equipment at various degrees of entanglement with the required traction force up to 75 MPa.
With its built-in crane it is possible to lift loads up to 1.5 tons. Another use of the VT-55A is in the transport of spare parts weighing up to 3 tons to damaged equipment.
Two versions are provided. The first is an integrated, hollow version suitable for resin printing. The second is split into parts to ease printing on fdm equipment. This version has a main hull (both hollow and sealed versions are provided), the two suspension assemblies, the snorkel, and the crane. Positioning of these elements, once printed, should be simple.
The separate tracks are best printed with the inside face flat on the printer platform. The main hull can be printed at a variety of angles to suit personal preference.
The product is offered for personal, non-commercial use. Derivative designs for personal use may be generated, but neither the original nor derivatives may be shared with others. Attribution of the design is requested should printed models be exhibited or otherwise shared. Models printed from this design or derivatives may not be sold commercially.
