Tromp Class Light Cruiser - Hr.Ms.Tromp & Hr.Ms.van Heemskerck

The Tromp class Light cruisers were a class of 2 ships of the Netherlands Royal Navy. Hr.Ms. Tromp was build as planned with 6 x 15 cm Guns in 3 turrets. However Hr.Ms. Jacob van Heemskerck was not fully ready in May 1940. She escaped to the UK and was completed as an Anti-Aircraft cruiser with ten 102 mm guns is 5 gun turrets.

Both ships served in the Far East and survived WW2.

1/1200 - resize to 83,5%

There are named bases provided, one per Cruiser. And each base comes in 2 versions. Text recessed and the raised. I used the recessed version for FDM printed bases. Finally a base without text is also included. Do not forget to also re-scale the bases if you print in 1/1200 or 1/1800 scale.

Included 1/1800 scale pre-supported models which I used for the test-prints on my Anycubic Mono SE (0.05mm layer) using standard resin. Use at your own risk, might be best you create your own supported files, which prints best on you own printer. Some parts are rather delicate, mainly the gun barrels, and you will need to remove support carefully.

The base was printed on an Ender 5 pro (0.16 mm layer) standard PLA.
