Nias-class gunboats

  • Description

The Nias-class was class of four gunboats of the Royal Netherlands Navy. Later rebuild and renamed Serdang-class tenders. The Hr.Ms.Serdang was still in service at the start of WW2, she was scuttled March 1942 as she could not escape to Australia.

Armament was varying, but this model represents the version with two 10.5cm single guns, and one 7.5cm gun.

1/1800 - resize to 55,56%

1/1200 - resize to 83,5%

Two versions are included, the original gunboat setup and the rebuild model as a tender with an more open aft-deck. Each version is provided on Ocean-bases with Nias-Class or Serdang-Class text. And a Base with Hr. Ms. Serdang. Also flat bases are provided with separate ship models.

Supported files(1/1800) are included, use at your own risk, might be best you create your own supported files, which prints best on you own printer. Some parts are rather delicate, mainly the gun barrels, and you will need to remove support carefully. Best to use a somewhat more flexible resin to prevent breaking of the smaller parts when used on the war-gaming-table.
