San Fulgencio Spanish ship of the line (64 gun) 1787- 1815

A series of 3 Spanish ships ordered and built at Cartagena, Ferrol and Havana between 1787 and 1788. Based upon the San Ildefonso lines but reducing its main dimensions and shape to better suit a 64 gun size.

Probably the most well known is the San Leandro which both fought and escaped from the Battle of Trafalgar.

Ship built names were: San Fulgencio, San Leandro and San Pedro Alcántara

Photos are of the resin printed high hull version. Photos with a single hull show the 1:700 version and photos with two hulls show the 1:700 version and a 1:1200 scale version.

The ship hull and shape was built as accurately as possible to various plans. The hull under the waterline was then removed and the upper parts were simplified in detail at the bow, thickened in the stern, windows exaggerated, and deck detail exaggerated. All this to be able to print out at 1:700 to 1:1200 scale.
