Puma 6x6 APC (Italy)
The 6x6 Puma is a member if the family of Italian light wheeled armoured fighting vehicles. These vehicles were developed and are produced by the Consorzio Iveco Fiat – Oto Melara for the Italian Army. The 6×6 variant carries 6 troops plus driver. This is a 1:100 scale design with variants for use on resin and fdm printers.
The 6x6 Puma increased the troop carrying capacity of the Puma, and was intended to complement the 4x4 version and the Centauro wheeled tank destroyer in service with the Italian Army's Cavalry Regiments. However, today most infantry regiments of the Italian Army have also been equipped with Pumas.
Two versions of the design are provided. The first is an integrated version, with built-in drainage, for printing on resin printers. The second has a core hull and separate wheels for printing on fdm systems. Both are straightforward, but detailed, designs which should print well. A separate MG is provided in the fdm zip file for use on either version.
The photographs are of an early printed model, shown to indicate printability. It requires further cleaning up, but indicates the potential of this model. It is better to print this model at 15 degrees of tilt; the first print was flat on the baseplate.
The product is offered for personal, non-commercial use. Derivative designs for personal use may be generated, but neither the original nor derivatives may be shared with others. Attribution of the design is requested should printed models be exhibited or otherwise shared. Models printed from this design or derivatives may not be sold commercially.
I have added a cleaned up hull for resin printing, as the posted version was too complex, and Chitubox struggled with it. If anyone has purchased this design, wishes to use a resin printer, and cannot access the new file, please contact me directly.
