USS Marblehead (1942) on a 'Wide' base and 'Waterline'

I am adding the rest of my models to this site (see www.magpiedesigner.com for details). If you are interested in a particular model please let me know and I'll move it up the queue.

Ship Base - WIDE and Waterline
This listing is for the Wide Base version AND the Waterline version.
Wide
A thick textured 'Hovercraft style' base (around 5-6mm thick) with the ship name and date on each side ("USS MARBLEHEAD" on the port side of the model and "OMAHA CLASS CRUISER" on the starboard).
See my other listings for alternative bases (Deep and Thin)

Each has the following options :

  • ……(Solid).stl         A solid model.

  • ……(Hollow).stl       A hollowed version.

  • ……(Supported).stl A version on supports ready to print.

Printing

Designed to be printed with a Layer Thickness of .03 mm, no supports required. I have added some very thin (0.3mm diameter) supports under things like the main gun barrels and aircraft wings. These are easy to remove with a scalpel or craft knife.

It can be rescaled to 1:2400 but care would be needed with the smaller parts.

The model has been run thru 3D builder and successfully printed.
