Landing Craft Mechanised - Mk3
A landing craft developed by the United States. It was a design by Higgins Industries, very similar to the LCVP, also constructed by Higgins.
The LCM (Mk3) can transport 60 troops or a 30-ton tank (M4 Sherman). It had a crew of 4 and was armed with two .50-cal M2 Browning machine guns.
It includes 2 models;
- Full-hull (Including supported file)
- Water-line model (including supported file)
The model includes all the doors, barrels, 0.5-cal M2 Machine guns, lifebuoy, wheel-house, screws and rudders. (Screws and rudders not needed for the war-gaming waterline model)

M4 Sherman model NOT included. It is added for scale.
The set includes a war-gaming model (waterline-cut model extra Open ramp-door) but also full versions of the model. So you could create a nice show-model of a complete LCM (Mk3). The models have enough details to be scaled to 1/56 (28mm), but I only did the test-print in 1/100.
All files are provided in 1/100 scale, do not forget to resize the models in your slicer for different scales (do not us the PRE-supported files for re-size, create new supports);
- 1/56 - 178,57%
- 1/72 - 138,89%
- 1/76 - 131,58%
The Waterline test-print is an FDM-print, printed on a Creality Ender 5 (with upgrades) in 0.16mm layer in PLA. The full-hull model is a Resin-print, printed on an Anycubic Mono SE 0.05mm layer using Anycubic Basic resin. The smaller parts, like the screws and machine guns will require a Resin printer in 1/100 scale.
For most of the Parts I have included Support files for Resin printing (1/100 scale), those worked fine for me. No guarantee they will work on your printer settings. So feel free to use, but might be best you create your own supported files.
