Deweycat Tobruk Bunker stl Package - Updated 2024
The Bolt action Gaming System identifies various fortifications as options for several different nation's army's choice. Among those choices is the “Tobruk Bunker”, with is given the options of the following
Each base (full height or inset, left hand or right-hand door) has a file with and without an integral base. I prefer to print terrain without a base, and then base with another material (in this case with CD disks), but you have either option.
The weapon choices are an MG, and MG with a shield, and although not noted in the rules, turrets from FT tanks with an MG and a FT turret with a low velocity ATG. The Germans used many such turrets in their fortifications, given they had captured thousands of Renault FTs in the early war. Also a 5cm mortar option has been added, but this option is best printed in resin.
I modelled the MGs after the German MG 15 with a drum magazine, which was a second line MG, issued to lower quality units and more likely to be found in fixed defenses.
The models pictured were printed in FDM at .3mm on a Prusa Mk3S, with supports from the base.
** PLEASE note to ensure you pick the correct roof to print with the respective bunker – e.g. Left-hand door roof for a Left-hand door base.
