Deweycat Belgian FN TriCar - 28mm ** updated February 2023 **
This file allows the printing of a Belgian FN Tri-Car transport. I was unaware of this vehicle until I was asked if I could create an .stl for it. It was used by the Belgian army as both a transport and a weapons carrier. There is little info on it, but between photos and Google translated posts I was able to work it out. The print in 28mm comes out at just over 2" in length and 1" in width.
The Belgian Army in Bolt Action has this in both the transport slot (carries four men) and in the armoured car slot (soft skin with rear facing MMG), at 23 points for regular for the transport and 30 points for the MG carrier.
This is an original file, containing two .stls; one for FDM printing in 28mm scale - with eight parts, and a second for SLA and smaller that 28mm FDM printing with two parts.
The resin .stls has been updated (February 2023) with a new MMG and presupported files.
When printing the FDM file, print at 0.1mm layers with support. Be VERY careful removing support material around the front forks! The MMG pintle fits in a hole in the cargo bed, allowing it to be added and removed as needed.
The print is small, so if printing in scale smaller than 28mm, you may want to try the resin file, which prints the vehicle in one piece and the MMG as a second piece.
The resin file includes pre-supported files. Please review them to ensure they are suitable for your resin printer.
