CSS New Orleans

CSS New Orleans was a floating battery used on the Mississippi, most importantly during the Battle of Island Nr. 10.

Converted from the Atlantic drydock at New Orleans in 1861, CSS New Orleans served as a floating battery on the Mississippi. Her complement of guns changed during her service. The structure in the center housed the engines for the pumps (she was towed into position by tugboats).

The model was designed for 1/600, but by reducing the scale by 50%, it will work for 1/1200.
