British WWII Austin Tilly Radio Truck internal detail 1:56 scale may suit 1:72 as well
The Austin Tilly was much used by the British and Common Wealth forces during WWII. This model provides the ambitious commander with the means to keep his units in communication with a light mobile truck.
This model started life as the Austin Tilly cover light truck designed by M Bergman of New Zealand. I hand converted a printed model to provide my fledgling 8th Army Desert force with some means of co-ordinating its actions against the Italians and DAK. Having created a workable model I realised that I could simply have done the same digitally.
M Bergman has grant me permission to make new vehicles or variants from his files. This little radio truck adds to what is available to the gaming community.
You will receive the following files:
The model shown was printed for an Ebay order at 0.15mm layer height. When printing for yourself I would suggest using 0.1mm layer height and not worry about the extra time.
You will need to super glue the PLA parts together once printed. Do gently use a sharp knife to open very slight the recessed wheel hubs so that they pop snugly on the axle ends.
This model was designed by Neal Bowskill Copyright May 2021. These files may not be used to print for commercial gain.
