A-class Minesweepers

The A-class minesweepers were a class of 4 ships of the Netherlands Royal Navy. They were the first purpose-built minesweepers of the Dutch Navy.

In the Dutch setup the ships were armed with 2 12.7mm Machine guns. The Japanese, after they raised the scuttled ships, put 3 of the 4 ships in service as submarine chasers, armed with a 47mm Gun, three 25mm guns, one 13.2 mm Machine gun and 8 depth charges. Only the Dutch setup is provided in this model.

There are named bases provided, one for each ship. And each base comes in 2 versions. Text recessed and the raised. I used the recessed version for FDM printed bases. Finally a base without text. Do not forget to also re-scale the bases if you print in 1/1200 or 1/1800 scale.

Included 1/1800 scale pre-supported models which I used for the test-prints on my Anycubic Mono SE (0.05mm layer) using standard resin. Use at your own risk, might be best you create your own supported files, which prints best on you own printer. Some parts are rather delicate, mainly the gun barrels, and you will need to remove support carefully.

The base was printed on an Ender 5 pro (0.16 mm layer) standard PLA.
