1:100 2S1 Gvozdika "Carnation" 122mm SPA

The 2S1 Gvozdika is a Soviet self-propelled howitzer introduced in 1972 and in service in Russia and other countries to this day, most recently seeing action in the Russo/Ukraine war. It is based on the MT-LBu multi-purpose chassis, mounting a 122 mm 2A18 howitzer.

The 2S1 was developed in Kharkiv, Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. It has seven road wheels on each side; the running gear can be fitted with different widths of track to match terrain. The interior is separated into a driver's compartment on the left, an engine compartment on the right and a fighting compartment to the rear. Within the fighting compartment the commander sits on the left, the loader on the right and the gunner to the front. The all-welded turret is located above the fighting compartment. The 2S1 uses a 122 mm howitzer based on the towed D-30 howitzer. The gun is equipped with a power rammer, a double-baffle muzzle brake and a fume extractor. It is capable of firing HE (high explosive), leaflet, HE/RAP, armor-piercing HE, flechette and chemical rounds

Printing Destructions:

IMPORTANT: DO NOT ALLOW PROGRAMS LIKE WINDOWS NATIVE 3D BUILDER TO REPAIR THE MODEL OR YOU WILL GET ERRORS THAT MAY OR MAY NOT ALLOW THE MODEL TO PRINT CORRECTLY

I have not broken this model up at all and it will fit on the old school Elegoo Mars printers just fine if you print it vertically. I prefer to print these on my Peopoly so not only can I print them in 1 piece I can print 12 at a time. It does come with the turret and chassis separate though for those that like to point the barrel at things.

Aside from that, on printers like Elegoo Mars and Anycubic Photon, if you rotate the model 90 degrees with the end down, just add your supports and print away. The weapons are modeled onto the aircraft and once I get my camera situation sorted out I’ll post pics, prints just fine

For resin I prefer to use Siraya Tech Simple Clear mixed with Tenacious. I use 75-80 Simple to 20-25% Tenacious. This has not given me any problems since I started this mix and the only time I get failures now is when I am experimenting with things or forget to do my supports right.
