Model Description:
This download contains a highly detailed model of the SU-152 Self Propelled Gun. Documentation and references for the real vehicle were rigorously studied to make the model as geometrically accurate as possible, except in the cases where printability would have to be sacrificed (such as the fender thickness).

The model is designed for resin 3D printing comes natively in 20mm (1/72) scale and includes a supported version for this size. Furthermore, the files are pre-hollowed, reducing the material requirements, improving the probability of print success, and ensuring no voids are present within the geometry.

The file is designed to be detailed enough to hold up well at larger scales however, including the common 28mm (~1/56) scale. Larger scales will have to be manually supported at present, however a future goal of TCR designs is to include supported files for larger scales, as well as a less-detailed version designed to function on FDM (filament) printers.

The model at its native scale took roughly 4 hours to print on an "Anycubic Photon Mono 4K" printer and has the following dimensions:
Length - 4.85" (123mm)
Width - 1.76" (45mm)
Height - 1.28" (33mm)

Historical Description:
The SU-152 was a soviet heavy self-propelled gun, designed to knock out fortifications and act as an infantry support platform. The SU-152 mounted the 152mm howitzer on a KV-1S chassis with the turret removed and replaced by a casemate design. The vehicle was designed in parallel with the smaller, T-34 based SU-122 spg. The SU-152 had weaker armor than other KV-1 derived vehicles but was more mobile due to the reduced weight from removing the turret and having thinner armor. A total of 670 vehicles were built between early and late 1943.

In Armored Advance:
In armored advance the SU-152 provides a large cannon on a moderately armored chassis. The vehicle costs a decent number of points to field, however, for this cost boasts much high damage per shot. Furthermore, the vehicle may fire high-explosive to combat infantry units effectively, in a way that vehicle-mounted MGs cannot match. The vehicle does come with the caveat that it is unable to fire its main gun at vehicles beyond 18", or infantry beyond 30". This means that the vehicle will have to use its mobility and rely somewhat on its armor to see the most effectiveness. The gun also takes a while to reload, having to take a one turn break between shots. Nevertheless, when infantry needs to be dealt with, or a vehicle needs to be crippled if not outright deleted, the SU-152 can do the job.
