New Orleans Class Heavy Cruisers - 1943 version
The New Orleans class cruisers were a class of 7 ships of the United States Navy, build in the 1930s. The New Orleans class carried a total of 3 triple 8-inch guns turrets, a total of 9 guns.
The ships had hull no's. from CA-32 (New Orleans) up to CA-44 (Vincennes)
Astoria, Quincy and Vincennes were sunk during the battle of Savo Islands in Aug 1942. The other 4 ships survived WW2.
This version is the early 1943 setup, with updated AA (Quadruple 1.1 inch Guns to 40 mm Bofor) compared to the 1942 setup. One crane removed, different search-light tower and bridge, AA Mg setup added to the Aft-turret roof and the bow.

The models are provided in 1/1000 scale and are Resin print only.

1/1200 - resize to 83,5%
There are a number of bases provided, text recessed and the text raised. I used the recessed version for FDM printed bases. Finally a base without text is also included. Do not forget to also re-scale the bases if you print in 1/1200 or 1/1800 scale.
Bases provided for New Orleans class and named bases for all ships in class.
Also included 1/1800 scale pre-supported models which I used for the test-prints on my Anycubic Mono SE (0.05mm layer) using standard resin. Use at your own risk, might be best you create your own supported files, which prints best on you own printer. Some parts are rather delicate and you will need to remove support carefully.
The base was printed on an Ender 5 pro (0.16 mm layer) standard PLA. But could also be printed in Resin if you want, which will provide a better print compared to my PLA printed bases. (no supported file provided)
The turrets are also provided as separate parts, this gives the option to glue the turrets in different orientations. Other reason was print orientation, adding support would be difficult for the turrets (the guns-barrels).
