HMS Devonshire (London / County Class) - Wide Base
HMS Devonshire
I am adding the rest of my models to this site (see www.magpiedesigner.com for details). If you are interested in a particular model please let me know and I'll move it up the queue.
Ship name
This product contains all the refits Devonshire went through during the war. Specifically:
Wide Base
This listing is for the Wide Base version.
A thick textured 'Hovercraft style' base (around 5-6mm thick) with the ship name and date on each side. As standard the model has the ship name on the port side and the class on the starboard. For example "HMS Cumberland (1939)" on the port, "County (Kent) Class CA" on the starboard.
See my other listings for alternative bases (Wide, Deep and Thin)
Each of the above versions has three files:
Printing
Designed to be printed with a Layer Thickness of .03 mm, no supports required. I have added some very thin (0.3mm diameter) supports under things like the main gun barrels and aircraft wings. These are easy to remove with a scalpel or craft knife.
It can be rescaled to 1:2400 but care would be needed with the smaller parts.
The model has been run thru 3D builder and successfully printed.
