DESCRIPTION M3A5 Grant Mark II early/mid/late prod

The M3 Grant is based on the M3 Lee, from which the British requested a number of modifications, including a new radio-fitted turret. First used in combat in May 1942 during the Battle of Gazala. As the M3 engine, M3A1, was problematic because it was also used in aviation, a new engine was developed. It consists of two assembled bus engines. The M3A5 is almost identical to the M3A3, but has a riveted rather than welded hull.

Armament mid/late prod:

    • M2 75 mm gun

    • M3 37 mm gun in turret

    • 4 machine gun Browning M1919 A4
