Koolhoven F.K.51

Koolhoven FK51, one of the types of aircraft used by the Dutch in 1942 during the defense of the Dutch East Indies.

The FK51. was designed as a scout-plane. I was armed with one 7.7 mm Lewis Machine gun in the front fuselage and one was placed in the rear cockpit. Early versions had two machine guns in the wings and no MG in the rear-cockpit.

The FK52 in The Netherlands were mostly destroyed on the ground during the German attack in May 1940. In the Dutch East indies, after December 1941, a total of 27 FK51's were used to form two reconnaissance squadrons based on Java.

The aircraft model has been prepared and detailed in 1/1000 scale. A 1/1000 scale in-flight model is included.

Print ready in 1/1200, meaning including bases and supported files are provided in 1/1200 scale. Which I used for test-printing. They worked fine for me, but no guarantee the files work on your own printer, so might be best you create your own supported files.

3 types of bases are provided, hexagonal, square or round and there is an option for a low (2 cm) or high (3 cm) base. The Scout option is provided (1 or 2 aircraft in a wing), also a Fighter option is included (4 aircraft in a wing). However, the FK51s did not perform fighter tasks, but I included the option for possible what-if scenarios. (Support-file for 4 aircraft wing and base setup is not included)

I have included the 3 bases (round, hexagonal, square) without text. You can add your text or letters if you want.

Test-printed using a Anycubic Mono SE using Anycubic basic resin, 0.04mm layer.
