Japanese Type 97 Medium Tank configured to be used in an Emplacement

Continuing my theme of the Pacific Theatre of Operations and my desire to provide my gaming friend’s with a very visual games board I realised I had not considered that the Imperial Japanese Army made extensive use of dug in and heavily defend tank and self-propelled guns. So began a journey which has resulted in 16 variations of an emplaced tank. This model is a Type 97 medium tank has been converted to sit within an emplacement.

The Type 97 Medium tank was designed by M. Bergman of New Zealand whose permission I have to rework his files to create something new that adds to the gaming communities range of models. In offering this model I am attempting to provide you with a vehicle which you can insert into a terrain piece you have developed yourself either by hand or digitally. You may need to file or cut the rear track plugs a little to get them to fit.

Having discussed the matter with M Bergman I feel that there is insufficient work added to the model by myself for it to fully qualify as my own design so it is offered here to you all for free inline with the generosity of its original designer in providing his catalogue of models to the community for free.
