HMS Amethyst

Only British wooden ship to fight against armor!

Amethyst was laid down in 1871 as the lead ship of her class. After launching in 1873, her first assignment was to the South Atlantic near South America, but she was diverted to support British forces fighting in the Third Anglo-Ashanti War. After the war, she did serve in the South American station and fought next to HMS Shah against the Peruvian ironclad Huascar during the Battle of Pacocha. In 1878, Amethyst returned to England for an extensive refit and returned to service in 1882, again at the South American station, until 1885. She would then be sold for scrap in 1887.

This ship is modeled in 1/600 scale and can be printed using any resin or FDM printer. Ship comes with and without base.

When printing in FDM, some details may be too small to print with a stock 0.4mm nozzle.
