Grizzly AVGP (Canada)

The Grizzly was used as an armoured personnel carrier in Canadian regular force infantry battalions not equipped with the M113 APC, and also by reserve units.  It served from the 1970s to 2005, but many were transferred to other countries and the police.  This 1:100 scale design includes detailed variants that are printable on both resin and filament printers, and can be rescaled as desired.

The Grizzly APC was based on a MOWAG Piranha 1 design, and became the foundation for a successful range of 6x6, and later 8x8 AFVs.  Tjhe Grizzly was the variant of the AVGP family, serving as an APC with ah 3-man crew, carrying a section of infantry.  It mounted a Cadillac-Gage turret with a 50 cal and 7.62mm co-axial MGs.  The 195 Grizzly vehicles produced were used in mechanised infantry battalions until around 2005, and 44 were refurbished and provided, without turrets, to the Uruguay Army.  A further 98 were transferred in Sudan.

The model is a well detailed design, provided in two versions, one for resin printing, which is integrated with its wheels.  Variants in both hollow and solid versions are provided to suit personal preferences. A second solid hull is provided without wheels for printing on fdm systems, with the wheels provided as a separate file.  In both cases the turret is provided as a separate solid item.

The product is offered for personal, non-commercial use.  Derivative designs for personal use may be generated, but neither the original nor derivatives may be shared with others.  Attribution of the design is requested should printed models be exhibited or otherwise shared.  Models printed from this design or derivatives may not be sold commercially.
