Gardner Gun on Naval Mount
- Description
- Files
The Gardner Gun was an early mechanical machine gun from the high Victorian-era. Used extensively by the Royal Navy, this version comes attached to a naval mount and is a great addition to any gunboats, steam paddlers, or other naval craft from the late 19th century!
These crank-operating machine guns could spit out over 800 rounds a minute. This model represents a five-barrel Gardner Gun on a naval mount - a common sight on late 1800's Royal Navy ships. In particular, this model saw use in the Sudan/Mahdist Wars of the 1880's/1890's. Whether sailing up the Nile to rescue Gordon from Khartoum, or engaging in a little of the ol' gunboat diplomacy, any ship could do with a Gardner Gun or two!
Designed for 1:56/28mm scale resin printing.
