FT-17 Turret Bunker

Though obsolete as tanks by the 1940s, FT-17 turrets were occasionally repurposed as machine gun positions on bunkers, notably by the Germans on the Atlantic Wall. In some cases, their original armament was replaced and the turrets would be adapted for a static role by being mounted on a concrete bunker while in others, the whole tank was simply buried.

This model depicts a FT-17 Turret that has been mounted on an underground bunker, possibly representing a firing position in a larger network. The original machine gun has been replaced with a German mg34 and many of the view ports have been covered to provide better protection for the operator. While this is modeled on examples found in Western Europe, this type of fortification would not be out of place in Italy, North Africa and examples were also used on the Eastern Front.

Included is one turret and base STL file.

28mm size, though could be scaled to 15 or 10mm by user.

Successfully tested and recommended for FDM printers though it should work fine in resin.

Print with support touching build plate.
