FR: Concorde-class frigate (Hermione, 32 guns), 1777-1811
The Concorde-class was a type of light frigate designed to prioritise speed and maneuverability. The most famous ship built to these lines, Hermione, was responsible for conducting General Lafayette to the United States with news of promised French support for the Continental Congress.
This model's lines were based on drawings made by the British upon taking Concorde, with details of the actual ship being based on Hermione.
Three ships of this class were built:
Both vessels captured by the British were sold off or broken up after the Peace of Amiens in 1802.
I have provided one version of the ship with an "alternate stern" based on one drawing I found for a model kit. It is distinct from that seen on the Concorde and the rebuilt version of the Hermione, so I was unable to guarantee its veracity. I've included it in case someone just wants to print more than one of these and might like some variety among their frigates.
