37mm Flak Zwilling 43 .stl pack

** This pack was updated to v. 3.0 in December  2023, it was resized, the resin gun mount with combined barrels and gun mount for resin was added reinforced, and a new resin gunner plus a new FDM gunners seat were added.  **

The 3.7 cm Flak 43 was an anti- aircraft gun used by Germany during World War II.  It was a simplified version of the previous Flak 18/36/37. Although primarily mounted as a single gun unit and of vehicles, a dual gun mount was produced as both field mounts and fixed mounts on flak towers.

This model is offered in the Warlord Bolt Action  as a heavy AA gun, a fixed weapon, with a crew of 4. The cost is 70 points as a regular, the gun shield is an extra 5 points. This .stl model represents the gun equipped with the gun shield.

I developed both a resin and FDM .stl pack for this design. I very much recommend the resin print. Due to the inherent limitations of FDM printing, I had to make compromises to allow the FDM print.- thickening parts, deleting the gunner figure, etc,  where necessary.

The resin model has a separate seated gunner figure, if you wish to use your own gunner, use the gunner seat from the FDM pack.  The FDM .stl only gives the gunner seat without a figure.

The barrels of the resin model are joined with the gun mount at 22.5 degree elevation. This eased post print assembly. The FDM model has barrels and gunner seat seat that can all be positioned at the specific angle; although they friction fit they should be glued, and do be cautious to have the angles the same for all three when you glue.

Resin .stls

This pack includes:

• The gun base


• The gun mount with barrels affixed at 22.5 degree elevation


• A seated gunner

This pack includes both the basic .stls plus pre-supported .stls. The pre-supported .stls may not be an ideal fit for your own printer / resin /  settings.

Post print, clean the supports off carefully, there are delicate parts in this model. Test fit parts prior to gluing.

FDM .stls

This pack includes:

• The gun base


• Three “foot pads” which fit into recesses of the gun base


• The gun platform


• The barrel (you need to print two)- these have sacrificial supports.


• A gunner’s seat, without the figure

These must be printed at a fine setting (0.1mm or less) with full supports. You may want to use a brim printing the barrels.
