DESCRIPTION Stug III G nov-1942
The final and by far the most produced version of the StuG series. The G version used the hull of the Panzer III Ausf. M and, after 1944, was fitted with a second machine gun. Later versions were fitted with the Saukopf (pig's snout) gun mantlet, which was more effective than the original mantlet at deflecting target fire. Side skirts were added to the G version for greater flank protection.
