VBL - French AFV in rear-turreted and MILAN variants

A 1:100 model of the French Véhicule Blindé Léger, in its rear turreted and MILAN carrying derivatives suitable for both fdm and resin printing.  This versatile vehicle is a wheeled 4x4 all-terrain vehicle built by Panhard that has been used by the French Army since the 1980s.  These variants offer increased weaponry in the Anti-tank and reconnaissance roles.

The VBL is a short and very compact vehicle (only 3.80 m long), the hull displaying almost no overhangs, and large wheels to ease the ground pressure.  It is a maid-of-all-work in the French Army, and is widely deployed for reconnaissance and liaison duties.  The vehicle was developed to provide armament options mounted on the rear half (third crew member position).

This is a 1:100 design suitable for printing in resin (wheels are integrated with the body) or fdm (separate wheels).  Some care needs to be taken in printing the suspension components, as these are quite fine.  The base unarmed version is available separately; this is the version with a rear placement for the hexagonal turret, and a second version with the MILAN missile launcher.  The MILAN launcher is provided separately for fdm printing to avoid problems in removing supports.

The product is offered for personal, non-commercial use.  Derivative designs for personal use may be generated, but neither the original nor derivatives may be shared with others.  Attribution of the design is requested should printed models be exhibited or otherwise shared.  Models printed from this design or derivatives may not be sold commercially.
