Mitsubishi A5M Claude

Mitsubishi A5M (Type 96 Carrier based Fighter), one of the types of aircraft available and used by the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) in WW2. The predecessor of the famous Mitsubishi A6M Zero. The first version had an open cockpit, the later A5M4 had a fully closed cockpit. (Both models are included.)

A total of 1094 have been build.

Armament consisted of two fixed forward firing .303 inch Type 97 machine guns. It could carry a load of two 30 kg bombs, or 1 160 Liter drop-tank.

The aircraft model has been prepared and detailed in 1/1000 scale. A 1/1000 scale in-flight model is included. You can scale the model to 1/1800 and add them to your 1/1800 scale Carriers. (Scale down to 56%)

Print ready in 1/1200, meaning including bases and supported files are provided in 1/1200 scale. Which I used for test-printing. They worked fine for me, but no guarantee the files work on your own printer, so might be best you create your own supported files.

3 types of bases are provided, hexagonal, square or round and there is an option for a low (2 cm) or high (3 cm) base. One, two, three and 4 aircraft wings are provided, the four aircraft wing has a left and a right option, this is done to create a stable model on the gaming-table, make sure you use the correct Base.  The left-wing is provided supported, just mirror the left-wing in your slicer to get the right-wing version.

I have included the 3 bases (round, hexagonal, square) without text. You can add your text or letters if you want.

Test-printed using a Anycubic Mono SE using Anycubic basic resin, 0.04mm layer.
