M1A2 TUSK and TUSK2

Model of the M1A2 Abrams MBT TUSK and TUSK2 upgrades, as used in Iraq.  Both resin and fdm models are provided, with detailed features.

During the Iraq War of 2003 and the subsequent occupation, the M1 Abrams served as the main tank of the US military.  In order to improve Abrams survivability in urban environment, M1A1/M1A2 was fitted with Tank Urban Survival Kit (TUSK).  The TUSK II upgrade further added shields for the commander and the distinctive tile-shaped reactive armour, although these were not fitted to all M1A2 SEPs.

Two files are provided for each version, one with an integrated, hollow hull and turret for resin printing, and a second with the two main elements subdivided to ease printing on fdm printers.  The tracks are separate, detailed items, and may require a bit of fitting, depending on the capabilities of the fdm printer.  The turret is provided as an integrated unit, or with separate MG turrets.  The MG themselves are detailed, and if problems are experienced in printing these, please contact me and I will provide more robust versions.

The product is offered for personal, non-commercial use.  Derivative designs for personal use may be generated, but neither the original nor derivatives may be shared with others.  Attribution of the design is requested should printed models be exhibited or otherwise shared.  Models printed from this design or derivatives may not be sold commercially.
