M1 75mm pack howitzer
1:56 model of M1 75mm pack howitzer in firing and travel configurations
The M1 75mm pack howitzer was designed in the 1920s to provide artillery support that could be moved across difficult terrain. The gun and carriage could be broken down into several pieces for carriage by pack animals, and saw combat in WW2 with the US Army (primarily airborne) and US Marines. Relatively small numbers were produced until late 1940, when a version the M8 carriage was introduced for airborne forces and jeep towing, incorporating pneumatic wheels. This version is featured in this product.
The file was missing the chasses; these have been made available as separate files.

Two versions are provided, as the gun could be assembled for firing or with the axles in a different position and the barrel assembly retracted to improve towing characteristics on longer moves. Variants of each are provided to suit different printing technologies. A version provides a separate barrel assembly, carriage and wheels for use on fused fibre printers. A fully integrated version with integral wheels is provided for resin printers, as this has been requested on other products.
