Martin B-10 / 139WH

Martin B-10 (Model 139 and Model 166) one of the types of aircraft available and used by the Dutch in 1942 during the defense of the Dutch East Indies.

The Dutch had a number of different versions in service.

  • 13 - Model 139WH-1 (Powered by 770 hp Cyclone engines)

  • 26 - Model 139WH-2 (Powered by 857 hp Cyclone engines)

  • 40 - Model 166 / 139WH-3 (Powered by 900 hp Cyclone engines)

  • 42 - Model 166 / 139WH-3A (Powered by 1000 hp Cyclone engines)

Model 166 had a single glass-house canopy, while the model 139 had a front and a separate dorsal canopy. Which was less aerodynamic. Both models are included.

Armament consisted of there .30 inch Browning machine guns and a bomb-load of 1000 kg. The Model 166 could carry up to 2000 kg, however this would reduce the operational range.

The dutch used the Martin's in both bomber and single flight reconnaissance roles.

The aircraft model has been prepared and detailed in 1/1000 scale. A 1/1000 scale in-flight model is included for Model 139 and Model 166.

Print ready in 1/1200, meaning including bases and supported files are provided in 1/1200 scale. Which I used for test-printing. They worked fine for me, but no guarantee the files work on your own printer, so might be best you create your own supported files.

3 types of bases are provided, hexagonal, square or round and there is an option for a low (2 cm) or high (3 cm) base. A Recce option (1 aircraft in a wing) and Bomber option (2 or 3 aircraft in a wing) are included. I also added some extra bases with different model designations for WH, WH1 and WH3, so you can also differentiate between the different canopy models.

I have included the 3 bases (round, hexagonal, square) without text. You can add your text or letters if you want.

Test-printed using a Anycubic Mono SE using Anycubic basic resin, 0.04mm layer.
