LAV-AT Anti-tank vehicle (USMC)

The LAV-AT anti-tank missile carrier is a mobile system is capable of defeating main battle tanks and fixed fortifications.  It is one of the variants of the baseline LAV-25 armoured vehicle (see separate model).  This is a detailed 1:100 model in versions suitable for resin or filament printers, with separate turrets in both raised and travel positions.

The LAV-AT anti-tank missile carrier is a mobile system is capable of defeating main battle tanks and fixed fortifications, firing TOW missiles.  This version is the original that was fitted with the Emerson 901 turret.  It carries two ready-to-launch missiles and provides coverage in 360 degrees. Stowed within the vehicle are 14 reload missiles. The turret is lowered and stowed when the vehicle is on the move. It is raised only prior to firing, when the vehicle is stationary.  The vehicle can be used both in defensive and offensive roles.

The model is a well detailed design, provided in two versions, one for resin printing, which is integrated with its wheels.  Variants in both hollow and solid versions are provided to suit personal preferences. A second solid hull is provided without wheels for printing on fdm systems, with the wheels provided as a separate file.  In both cases two turrets are provided as separate solid items, one in firing and one in travel position.  A separate strengthened 50 cal MG is provided for fitting on the commander's cupola if desired.

In further testing it has become clear that some of the handles on the model are not adequately fixed to the hull.  Updated versions of the hull files have been posted to address this deficiency.

The product is offered for personal, non-commercial use.  Derivative designs for personal use may be generated, but neither the original nor derivatives may be shared with others.  Attribution of the design is requested should printed models be exhibited or otherwise shared.  Models printed from this design or derivatives may not be sold commercially.
