French TRM2000 tactical truck

This is a 1:100 model of the all-Wheel Drive (TRM) light truck, which can carry a load of 2 tons, traverse a 30% slope, cross 80 cm fords and climb slopes of 50%.  Over 6000 units were built and deployed by the French army, with production ceasing in the late 1990s.  This design is offered in versions suitable for resin or fdm printing, with a removable cab top for ease of painting if so desired.

In the 1970s, the military vehicles for tactical support in difficult terrain (Simca, SUMB, SAVIEM TP3, etc.), in service with the French army, needed to be replaced. In 1981, Renault Véhicules Industriels (RVI), offered the TRM 2000 to the French Army for its tactical range.  The TRM 2000 won the contract and the manufacturer's Société d'études et de développement de matériel spéciaux (SEDEMS) followed up on this order.  Built at the Blainville sur Orne plant, the vehicles were delivered from 1982 to the signal regiments and in 1994, 5600 units were in service.  Their production was stopped in the 1990s but the vehicle continued to serve for many more years.

This is a range of model designs of variants of this vehicle.  They include the base vehicle, with and without tilt, a box body variant, and the PAMELA version carrying the MISTRAL anti-aircraft missile.  Fully integrated versions are offered for resin printing, with versions with separate wheels to ease printing in fdm.  For those wishing to paint and detail the interior of the cab, alternative versions with a separate cab top are included.

The product is offered for personal, non-commercial use.  Derivative designs for personal use may be generated, but neither the original nor derivatives may be shared with others.  Attribution of the design is requested should printed models be exhibited or otherwise shared.  Models printed from this design or derivatives may not be sold commercially.
