Consolidated PBY Catalina

Catalina PBY one of the types of aircraft available and used by the Dutch in 1942 during the defense of the Dutch East Indies.

The Dutch had 25 PBY-5 Catalina's available in the Dutch East Indies by the end of 1941, powered by two 1200 hp Pratt & Whitney Twin Wasp engines. It carried three .30 cal Machine guns, 2 in the nose and 1 at the ventral tail hatch. Two .50 cal Machine guns in each waist blister. It could carry up 2000kg Bombs or torpedoes.

The model was used by many other countries in WW2.

The aircraft model has been prepared and detailed in 1/1000 scale. A 1/1000 scale in-flight model is included.

Print ready in 1/1200, meaning including bases and supported files are provided in 1/1200 scale. Which I used for test-printing. They worked fine for me, but no guarantee the files work on your own printer, so might be best you create your own supported files.

3 types of bases are provided, hexagonal, square or round and there is an option for a low (2 cm) or high (3 cm) base. A Recce option (1 or 2 aircraft in a wing) and Bomber option and a Torpedo Bomber option (2 or 3 aircraft in a wing) are included. Only the 1- and 2-aircraft wing is also provided pre-supported.

I have included the 3 bases (round, hexagonal, square) without text. You can add your text or letters if you want.

Test-printed using a Anycubic Mono SE using Anycubic basic resin, 0.04mm layer.
