Aerotrain TRIDIM easy print
Easy to print Aerotrain TRIDIM. Some details have been changed for looks/ printability.
Absolutely mad little French people mover prototype from the late 60s/ early 70s. It was an air cushion monorail.
I've included enough pieces that you should be able to build out a nice little setup, there was no good way to make the Ys actually switchable, so you just have to put the steer-er pieces where you want them. The lowest raised track height (furthest left in the picture) puts the car floor at the ~1.2m of a standard train platform.
The cars could do a 20% slope with a geared funicular system, which is even more nutty considering it's an air cushion hovercraft. So that what the vertical curves max out at.
There are options for the cars with open and closed doors, and a not-ever-existing cargo car.
Image is of models printed in 1/52 with 3dbreed figure and a 1/52 truescale figure for scale.
The standard files are designed to print AS-IS on filament, no additional supports required.
The “resin” files are for those of you that are printing with resin printers and would prefer the assembled models. Resin files are not pre-supported unless otherwise noted.
Please remember that unless otherwise noted these models are uploaded at 1/100, and you need to scale it to match your preferred play-scale.
1/72= 139% (“standard” 20mm)
1/64= 156%
1/56 = 179% (“standard” 28mm)
1/52 = 192% (my preferred scale for 28mm heroic)
1/48 = 208%
Should you have any trouble with them, please feel free to contact me.
